Youtube Video

The above photos are of Loon Lake, Oregon. This beautiful lake is about 45 minutes from Sutherlin, Oregon's Bigfoot Hub. To get there take Interstate exit 136, travel west on hwy 138 and turn left on hwy 38 at Elkton. Keep going until you see sign for Loon Lake, about 15 or twenty minutes. Enjoy.

Oh yes, if you type in Bigfoot on Google search you will find a BFRO article on a bigfoot sighting that took place between Sutherlin and Oakland (Oregon), several years ago. Enjoy, Linda Newton-Perry

Bigfoot Figure

I'm working on several bigfoot figures to place around Sutherlin, Oregon. I wish to have Sutherlin KNOWN as Oregon's Bigfoot Hub. If you'd like to help, leave a comment on how you'd like to do that. (See map of sightings near Sutherlin, below.)

Oregon's Bigfoot Hub

Click link to take you to a Youtube video where Linda is reading a sighting account that took place at the Elkton Tunnel  (a past sighting).

Many people do not talk about their bigfoot sightings. I wish more people would.  If it were commonplace, we probably wouldn't have this problem of SCIENCE/GOVERNMENT keeping it quiet. What do you think? I really wish more viewers would comment their views. ... LNP

Bigfoot Art

My Bigfoots

I love to sculpt. These little bigfoots are made from rubbery charcoal erasers. When I'm through snapping photos of them, I roll them up into a ball.

Number 2 on the Map

This is the Elkton Tunnel (Oregon). A few years ago a teacher spotted a bigfoot cross the road here in front of her car. From Interstate 5, travel west on Hwy 138, Exit 136, to Elkton and turn right for a few miles to the tunnel. We found what looked like a footprint here. Enjoy and comment please.

Bigfoot Sighting Map

WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEARCH FOR BIGFOOT?

If so, you are in the right place. Bigfoots/Sasquatchs   have been spotted in Douglas County many times over the years. The animal is known to be a night creature but most of the sightings have been in the early morning and daytime. And if you do not feel like hiking, you can stay in your car, scanning the areas listed below.

Number 1: Several years ago a bigfoot was seen crossing the road between Bullock Bridge and the sharp curve at Tyee Road on Hwy 238.

Number 2: From Sutherlin take hwy 138 west until you come to Elkton and hwy 38. Turn right on 38 and travel a few miles to the Elkton tunnel. The animal was seen here crossing the road a few years ago. Look for footprints. Chances are you will not see the animal but it is fun knowing you are where one was spotted.

Number 3: At Weatherly Creek a bigfoot was seen eating apples from a tree a few years in the past.  Be careful, log trucks may be on this narrow road. To get to Weatherly Creek, drive through Elkton. It is several miles on the right over a short bridge. (We traveled down this road until we came to a short bridge and a split in the road. The log trucks were racing to deliver their logs. We felt unsafe and turned back. But we enjoyed knowing bigfoot was observed in the area.)

Number 4: Scottsburg Bridge, west end on left, a bigfoot was spotted there on the flat area and another time walking along the road going west.

Number 5: Scottsburg Park is just a couple miles west where a bigfoot one early morning was seen going through trashcans.

Number 6&7: Travel on west to the Loon Lake turnoff. Bigfoot has been seen several times at this intersection and down the road to Loon Lake where he was spotted crossing Mill Creek at the three mile marker.

A Poem

Some know that in the woods, a giant lives, stays to himself and
The far off hills.
The believers keep it to themselves, and tell not a soul, because
They're sure of what they've seen, sure of what they know:
For off in the hills where no man goes, giants live and giants roam.
Unbelievers simply do not care, that in the wild, giants make their home:
Sasquatch, Yeti, Yowi, Skunk Ape, world over, names that define.
One thing, you can be sure, when he's found,
The proud naysayer will be among the first to say: "We knew it was just a matter of time!"

Gun Fired

Thanks for the chance to tell my story to someone. On December 14th 2009 while on patrol near Carpenderville in Curry Co. I received a call to proceed to mile post twenty four on the Forest Service Road, Pairsoll Peak near the south fork of the Chetco River.

At 1422 hrs I arrived at the south fork bridge. There I was to investigate a report by cellphone that six loggers in a crew wagon had seen a big animal of unknown species on the bridge looking over the side. After taking their reports I told them they could go on home.

I walked across the bridge on foot and walked along the road looking for any signs. There it was, a blackish hairy animal of immense size standing upright looking straight at me from the river bank. I drew my weapon and shot once in the air to stop its forward movement towards me.

The eight to ten foot apelike thing whirled around and walked off into the treeline near the water. Stunned, I returned to pickup. I called it in and was told to return to the Gold Beach Station. I had no choice but to report seeing a Sasquatch-Bigfoot type animal.

I had to see a goof ball shrink before going back to work.

Bigfoot was seen on this bridge

Here on this bridge a bigfoot was seen and shot at by an officer and a whole group of men observed the animal. I'll find the sighting and put it here as soon as I can. (Click photo to make larger.)

Want to see Oregon's Bigfoot Trap?

This trap  may be the only official one in the world. It was built by the Forest Service. Image that! THE FOREST SERVICE. Constructed in the 1970's it's getting a little tumbledown looking. Looks like a great hike to get to it. Enjoy. Click link to go.
